Fontainebleau

Fontainebleau is 17 years old and stands at just over 16.1 h.h.

In 1992 he was Champion Stallion at the licensing in Verden and is 100 day performance tested where he scored an impressive 9 for his walk

Bred by the Vice President of the Hanoverian Verband he has an outstanding 'F' line pedigree which combines top showjumping and dressage lines

Fontainebleau had a very successful career at stud in East Germany producing about 500 offspring including licensed stallions before coming to Brownscombe at the end of August in 2005

His progeny are competing with honours in Germany with some already competing at Grand Prix

Fontainebleau himself is an advanced dressage horse who has won at Intermediare Level 4 times and had just started competing at Grand Prix on the big tour when he unfortunately injured himself in the stable which resulted in his early retirement from competition

His sire, Wanderer, descends from some of the most influential bloodlines of today’s modern sport horse

Wanderer is renowned for producing horses with outstanding jumping talent and for possessing superb dressage paces

One of his offspring, Active Walero was an Olympic Dressage Horse in 2004

On the dam's side Wenzel 1 was leading dressage sire of 1997/1998 and was the sire of many valuable auction horses
